Balances for Calibration
In this Section
ISO 8655 recommends the selection of a suitable balance for pipette calibration based on the following criteria:
- The standard uncertainty of measurement (or repeatability and linearity) shall not be more than two to three times resolution
- The balance shall be equipped with an evaporation trap to minimise the loss of water by evaporation for small volumes
- An official traceable calibration certificate and calibration once a year is required
